At least 9 people were killed and 38 others injured after two buses collided in Palakkad district in the southwestern Indian state of Kerala, ANI news agency reported on Thursday, citing state cabinet minister MB Rajesh.
A tourist bus carrying students and teachers from Baselios Vidyanikethan Senior Secondary School crashed into a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus in the town of Vadakkenchery, according to Rajesh.
The deceased include five students, one teacher and three passengers from the KSRTC bus, Rajesh said, adding that all the injured people have been admitted to the hospital.
