The Zhuhai Grand Theater sits in the Pearl River Estuary in south China's Guangdong Province, and is the country's only opera house built on an island. It is composed of two shell-shaped buildings, one large and one small. In the daytime, sunlight penetrates the outer wall of the building into the shell, creating a translucent effect, and turns the shells into the sun and the moon at night. Join CGTN to see the charming night scene of this landmark building from a drone's-eye view.
CGTN's "The Great Rivers of China" series introduces the seven major water systems in China from the perspectives of natural geography, local customs, and significance to the social and economic development of the regions along their routes. The Yellow, Yangtze, Songhua, Haihe, Huaihe, Pearl and Lancang rivers will be featured.
