The Chinese movie market has seen a boom in patriotic films during the week-long festivities of China's National Day Holiday. Family movies and major entertainment titles are expected to continue attracting audiences. The patriotic action film "Home Coming" dominated the box office in China this past weekend. Directed by Rao Xiaozhi, it's about Chinese diplomats and their heroic rescue of compatriots in danger in foreign countries. Two other patriotic movies, "Ordinary Hero" and "Steel Will" are also expected to draw big audiences in the next few days. As the COVID-19 pandemic has crippled China's movie industry, the recovery of the world's second-biggest movie market during what is known as Golden Week is especially important for the rest of the year.
