Inter Milan shoved Barcelona into third place in Group C after defeating them 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League game at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday. The Nerazzurris" (Inter's nickname, which means The Black and Blue) exploited the Italian signature "Catenaccio" (an Italian word that means "door-bolt" and implies a major focus on defense) well to ruin Barca's efforts to control the game in the way they have been used to.
Napoli crashed Ajax 6-1 at Johan Cruyff Arena on Tuesday to get their third straight win in the Champions League and continue to top Group A over last season's runners-up Liverpool. Napoli have scored 13 goals in three games, more than any other team so far in the tournament.
AC Milan suffered their first loss in the Champions League after they were beaten 3-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. It the first win for "The Blues" (Chelsea's nickname) made things further chaotic in Group E because all four teams have only one win. The leader Red Bull Salzburg are only two points above GNK Dinamo Zagreb on the bottom.
