During this year's National Day holiday, demand for short trips and outdoor equipment sales rose steadily, with the latter being the mainstay. That said, strong demand was also witnessed across most of the services sector. Liu Zhiqin, a senior research fellow at the Chongyang Institute of Finance at Renmin University of China, said the healthy consumption trend seen during the Golden Week holiday is a harbinger of the strong consumer confidence and the huge domestic demand in the country.
