Russia will consider its own investigation into the Nord Stream pipelines' leaks, as Denmark does not want Russia to be engaged in its examination, the Russian Embassy in Denmark said on its website on Friday.

The Kremlin said Russia must be part of investigations into last week's explosions in the two Nord Stream gas pipelines under the Baltic Sea. Russian energy giant Gazprom is a majority shareholder of Nord Stream AG, which owns and operates the vital pipelines that carry gas from Russia to Europe.

Russia said Denmark's refusal to allow Russia to be part of the investigation undermines the reliability of any future results.
