An explosion hit the Crimean Bridge, causing a fire on the span carrying railway lines, Russian news agency RIA reported on Saturday. "According to preliminary information a fuel tank is on fire on one of the sections of the Crimean Bridge, the shipping arches are not damaged," RIA quoted a local official as saying. No one was injured in the incident.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has created a government commission in connection with the emergency on the bridge, according to TASS news agency. Currently, there is no official response from the Ukrainian side.
