Eziz Mehmet is 53 years old. He has been dealing with poplar forest for 33 years. Since 2019, thousands of forest rangers have devoted themselves to saving poplars in the Tarim Basin. They dig ditches to divert rivers, patrol forests, and protect trees, allowing 4.7 million acres of dying primitive poplar forests in the Tarim River Basin in Shaya County, China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to become lively again.
