A large demonstration organized by a number of trade unions took place in the Czech capital Prague on Saturday, with participants calling on the government to take concrete measures to combat rising inflation. Demonstrators from all over the country gathered at Wenceslas Square in the center of Prague. It was the third such demonstration in the Czech Republic in less than two months. In a joint statement, the unions called on the government to take concrete measures to combat inflation and control rising energy and food prices.
