Affected by cold air, northeast China's Liaoning Province experienced heavy rain and snow on October 9. By 8 a.m. on October 10, the snow in the province's Zhangwu and Kangping counties was ankle-deep.
Heavy snow also fell in Tongliao City in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The cold air is expected to dissipate on October 11.
