The output at the Fuman Oilfield in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the country's largest ultra-deep oilfield, has topped 10 million tonnes, according to PetroChina Company. Four wells with a production capacity of 1,000 tonnes and 45 wells with 100 tonnes of output have been drilled at the Fuman Oilfield, part of the Tarim Oilfield, this year. The Fuman Oilfield covers 17,000 square kilometers, the same area as Beijing. With petroleum resources of over one billion tonnes, it is China's deepest and largest ultra-deep crude oil-producing area so far.
