For the first time this year, a rare North China leopard was spotted wandering in a forest in Wutai County, north China's Shanxi Province.
In the footage captured by an infrared camera, the leopard can be seen wandering in front of the camera, lying down, licking its paw and walking away.
The North China leopard is endemic to China, with the largest population found in Shanxi, under first-class protection in the country.
