The UK government on Monday imposed sanctions on senior security and political figures in Iran and Iran's Morality Police, according to a statement on its official website.
Mahsa Amini's death, following her arrest by the Morality Police, has sparked protests across Iran and shocked the world, the statement reads, adding the UK is also imposing sanctions on five leading political and security officials in Iran for "committing serious human rights violations."
Iran's Forensic Organization on October 7 said the death of the Iranian woman, Mahsa Amini, was not caused by blows to the head and vital organs and limbs of the body.
