The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said in a statement on Wednesday that the organizer of the Crimean Bridge explosion was the main intelligence department of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, its head Kyrylo Budanov, employees and agents.

Eight people, including five Russian citizens and three citizens of Ukraine and Armenia who participated in "preparing" the explosion have been detained by FSB, according to the statement.

"The whole activity of the FSB and Investigative Committee is nonsense," Ukraine's public broadcaster Suspilne cited interior minister spokesperson Andriy Yusov as saying when asked about Moscow's allegations on the explosion.
