This is what the European Space Agency's astronaut Samantha Cristo-foretti posted on social media when she was flying over China on the International Space Station on Wednesday. It's a quotation from Lanting Xu, also known as the "Orchid Pavilion Preface." It is generally considered the best-known work in Chinese calligraphy history. It was written nearly 1,700 years ago by noted calligrapher Wang Xizhi during the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317–420). Forty-five-year-old Cristo-foretti is Italy's first female astronaut. She participated in the first China-Europe joint space training in China's Yantai City in 2017.
