Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting in the Kazakh capital, Astana, on Thursday.

Putin told Erdogan that Turkey was the most reliable route to deliver gas to the European Union and proposed building what he called a supply hub there.

He said energy supplies from Russia to Turkey were in "full flow" and in accordance with requests.

The two leaders did not discuss ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine during the meeting, RIA news agency reported, citing the Kremlin.
