When Kylian Mbappe inked a three-year contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in May, he became reportedly one of the most powerful players in any football powerhouse in Europe because the new deal gave him a say in how the club is run, according to The Guardian.

However, that hasn't seemed liked it has made the 23-year-old French genius happy enough to stay at the Parc des Princes, because a series of sports media outlets revealed this week that Mbappe wants to leave PSG in January 2023.

It cost PSG as much as 180 million euros (about $175.4 million) in 2018 to land him from Monaco. Real Madrid made several bids, including one that was worth 200 million euros (about $194.9 million), trying to bring him to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu during the past two years. But all of their attempts failed, including one rejected by Mbappe himself in May.

There are surely still clubs rich enough to pay a satisfactory price for PSG to let Mbappe go. But before they start writing zeros on the cheque, they better know for sure what exactly Mbappe is after.
