A 13.6-megawatt offshore wind turbine has rolled off the production line in east China's Fujian Province on October 13, 2022. The turbine boasts the world's biggest impeller and Asia-Pacific's largest single-unit capacity, marking a breakthrough in high-end research and manufacturing. The impeller's 252-meter diameter sweeps 50,000 square meters, equal to seven football fields. The turbine will generate 63.5 million kilowatt-hours annually, enough to power more than 30,000 three-person households.
