Zheng Xiaoyan is a senior engineer at Zhengzhou High-speed Railway. Since Henan Province envisioned building its double cross-shaped high-speed rail network 12 years ago, Zheng Xiaoyan has been involved in the maintenance of every single line and helped provide a safe and smooth high-speed system.
Zheng Xiaoyan started working in the railway industry in 1991, when she was only 18 years old. She was a high school graduate then, but by the time she was 44 years old. She had received her master's degree in engineering. She has never stopped extending her theoretical knowledge, and has maintained a strong sense of curiosity. Zheng says she is happy to have overcome so many technical difficulties, and is proud to have participated in building the high-speed rail network.
