Official data shows that China's consumer price index rose 2.8 percent in September compared with a year ago, quickening from 2.5 percent in August. Wang Dan, Chief Economist of Hang Seng Bank (China) expects China to further ease the monetary policy in the coming months, given that the inflation environment is still benign.
