Fuel and electricity prices are soaring and inflation has been high for months in Italy. In an interview with China Media Group, Michele Geraci, a former undersecretary of state at Italy's Ministry of Economic Development, said that the sanctions imposed on Russia have not only failed, but also caused serious hardship for the Italian economy.
