Zhou Yan, born in the 1990s, graduated from China Academy of Art. She and her husband Liu Xiu, both grew up in the countryside. In 2015, after returning to their hometown to visit their relatives, they decided to stay in their hometown, hoping to change the countryside with art. They established the Dayuan Art Center to provide free art education for rural children. Now Dayuan Community has served more than 8,000 rural children and held more than 300 activities. This summer, in the open square and on the grass, the theatrical art festival "The Legend of the Eternal Night" provided a stage for local children. These children created their own choreographed dances, dramas, their own designed costumes and props, making their artistic dream come true.
