Over the years, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has been tackling corruption with swift and resolute measures, making marked achievements in the battle against corruption and accumulating valuable experiences, Sun Yeli, spokesperson for the 20th CPC National Congress, said Saturday.
Under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the Party has made coordinated efforts to ensure officials do not dare, are not able, and do not want to be corrupt, Sun said.
Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, a complete set of intra-Party regulations and anti-corruption laws have been formed. The CPC has been steadfast in combating corruption with zero tolerance.
As of June 2022, a total of 4,516,000 cases were handled by disciplinary authorities, and 4,439,000 people were punished for violating the discipline, according to Sun.
