Flooding continued in Melbourne and other cities in Victoria, forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate from their homes. Flood warnings were issued, about 3,500 homes lost power and a 63-year-old man was reported missing. About 70 residents were told to leave Melbourne's Maribyrnong suburb, about 500 homes in Victoria were flooded and another 500 were isolated by floodwater as of the afternoon of October 14. Melbourne is Australia's second-most populous city with five million people.
