China has introduced more than 2,000 reform programs in the past 10 years, covering various economic and social fields, Sun Yeli, spokesperson for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said on Saturday. Breakthroughs have been made in some key areas and key links, Sun said, citing reforms of the Party and state institutions, national defense and the armed forces, and the Party building.
Sun also clarified a misunderstanding about China's "dual circulation" strategy, which means an economic development pattern that takes domestic development as the mainstay, with domestic and international development reinforcing each other.
