Winter Olympic gold medalist in short-track speed skating Wu Dajing and Palace Museum curator Wang Xudong on Sunday said they were honored to be delegates to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
They made the remarks at the "Delegates' Corridor" ahead of the 20th CPC National Congress at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Speaking to the press, Wu said as a professional athlete, he will continue to strive for more glory for his country and encourage more Chinese people to participate in winter sports.
For his part, Wang recounted efforts being made to protect cultural relics and encouraged young scholars to explore other civilizations and pursue cultural relic protection.
