Explosions were heard in Kyiv on Monday as several blasts hit the Ukrainian capital, according to a China Media Group (CMG) reporter.
Earlier explosions rang out in the Shevchenkivskiy district in the center of Kyiv, the city's mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said on social media.
Kyiv was attacked by "kamikaze drones" early on Monday, the Ukrainian president's chief of staff Andriy Yermak said after the explosions. There was no immediate information on casualties.
Shevchenkivskiy district, a busy hub with universities, student bars and restaurants, was also hit by several explosions on Monday last week when Russia ordered a major aerial offensive against Ukrainian cities after a blast on the Crimea Bridge.
Meanwhile, a big fire broke out at an energy facility in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region after an overnight missile hit, a local official said on Monday.
"Three enemy missiles were destroyed by our air defense forces," Valentyn Reznichenko, governor of the region, said on social media.
