Is communism demonized in Africa like it is in other parts of the world? CGTN sat down with socialist leaders from Africa, Fred M'membe, president of the Zambia Socialist Party, and Kyeretwie Opoku, convener of the Socialist Movement in Ghana, to discuss why they see China's method of development as an inspiration.

"I think you will also find that for most people in Africa, the values that people hold dear are actually collective values; they are values of community, they are values of working together, of sharing, of solidarity. They just do not express it ideologically in the terms communism and socialism," said Opoku.
