The body of a female was recovered from the rubble of a house in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district and three others have been hospitalized following Russian "kamikaze drone" strikes, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Monday.

He added another person is still trapped under the damaged residential building and search operations are ongoing.

The mayor previously said 18 people have been rescued thus far.

Earlier on Monday morning, Ukraine reported two loud explosions in the city.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal later called for more support for Ukraine and more sanctions against Russia as he claimed that Russia attacked civilian and energy facilities in Ukraine.

Russia has not yet responded to the attack accusation.
