'We Talk': Brazilian lauds China's poverty alleviation efforts

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is currently held in Beijing. Topics such as poverty alleviation, technological development and environmental protection have become buzzwords in China. CGTN Stringer invites people around the world to discuss these topics. In this episode, Brazilian Valmor Comim shares his thoughts on poverty alleviation.

Comim has worked in international trade for the past 20 years. He first came to China in 2005. In 2014, Comim and his wife received scholarships from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and he later earned an MBA and PhD from the University of International Business and Economics. Because of his job, he often has the chance to work with Chinese companies. During his 4.5 years of study in China, he also got to know people in rural areas. Regarding China's poverty alleviation policies, Comim believes that it's a responsible measure and very respectful to the people.
