Delegates from the Communist Party of China have launched passionate discussions on the report given at the opening session of the 20th CPC National Congress. 

Youth development 

"In his report, Xi Jinping stressed that today's young people were born at the right time. They have a very broad stage to display their talents and a very bright prospect to realize their dreams," said Wang Dongmei, director of the Department of CPC History and Youth Movement History at China Youth University of Political Studies.

"We should develop quality education and promote educational equity. For example, policies and measures on youth employment and housing are aimed at creating favorable conditions for youth development," Wang said.

Pivotal arrangements for science, education and talent

Delegate Qi Xin from the China Science and Technology Museum said it has given her a clear direction to work. As a science educator, Qi has dedicated herself to inspiring the younger generation's interest in science and is one of the organizers of large-scale popular science activities. The China Science and Technology Museum, where she works, has hosted remote Tiangong classes between Chinese astronauts and children on the ground three times.

"We should transform the latest and most cutting-edge science and tech achievements in our country into forms that are easily understood and accepted by the general public. We should also let the public know what our goals are, what scientific mysteries are still waiting for us to discover and explore," Qi said.

"Building a community with a shared future for mankind" 

Lin Songtian, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said China has "the plan, the will, the conditions and the commitment" to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

"I believe that the people of all countries know what kind of world best serves their interests and the common interests of people all over the world," Lin said.

"The Chinese people have experienced a journey of development from nothing to rich and from rich to strong. In just a few decades, we have built a moderately prosperous society in all respects in a country with 1.4 billion people accounting for 20 percent of the world's population. This offers a new option for world modernization, especially for countries that wish to maintain relative independence and achieve development," Lin said.
