In the Chinese diplomatic service, we firmly safeguard the lawful rights and interests of overseas Chinese nationals and legal persons, Ma Zhaoxu, vice minister and member of the CPC Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told a press conference in Beijing on Thursday.
"The movie 'Home Coming' touches its viewers because it tells a good story about our value of putting the people first," Ma said, "the motherland will not give up on any of her citizens, and this is exactly an eloquent explanation of serving the people through diplomacy."
The media conference was hosted by the Press Center for the 20th CPC National Congress on the topic "Under the Guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, Forge Ahead and Strive to Break New Ground for Major-Country Diplomacy with Chinese Characteristics."
