China is reducing its dependency on coal, while developing renewable energy. The country capped coal consumption in 2021 by reducing it to less than 56 percent of the country's total energy mix, a dramatic decline. Ma Jun, director of the NGO the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs, talks about China's contribution to the world in terms of green development.
