China's longest river, the Yangtze, has made solid steps in restoring its ecosystem after authorities rolled out targeted measures to improve the ecology in recent years. Authorities implemented a fishing ban, stepping up monitoring and observation and restoring wild animal habitats. In Jiangxi Province, the 10-year fishing ban in the Yangtze River since 2020 has allowed aquatic life to replenish. In the future, the province will step up efforts to implement the policy and provide support for those who have quit fishing as a means of living.
