"No one can say this (China's) is a bad development model, because if you say it's a bad development model, then you are saying it's bad that poor people got better off, it's bad people who used to suffer in famines now have a comfortable life," said Carlos Martinez, a London-based researcher, co-editor with Friends of Socialist China.

In this interview, Martinez shared that the methods China used to improve people's well-being, from economic development, life expectancy, education, and health care, and pledges to continue to solve problems that are facing on the way to achieving a modern socialist country, are something inspiring to people in other parts of the world.
