Footage of a wild giant panda and her cub foraging and marking their scent was recently released by the Changqing National Nature Reserve in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

Field observers collected infrared cameras from within the reserve and isolated the clip which was captured at around 7 p.m. on May 30 this year.

In the video, the mother panda walked up to a tree, sniffed, then rubbed her head and neck against the trunk. After that, she marked her territory by urinating under the tree. Before wandering out of the scene, she rubbed again lazily against the tree for a moment while the baby was enjoying eating.

Located on the south slope of the middle part of the Qinling Mountains, the Changqing National Nature Reserve has an area of nearly 30,000 hectares for giant panda habitats, and the most recent number of wild giant pandas in the reserve was 67.
