A delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) listed a few statistics to describe China's achievements in opening-up during the past decade.
"China's international trade promotion has achieved all-round reform, high-quality development and historic progress," Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), told CGTN.
According to Ren, the number of Preferential Certificates of Origin issued by China has increased 14-fold over the past 10 years, which shows the rapid development of China's free trade zones.
The number of patent and trademark applications China took care of increased over 5-fold throughout the past decade.
Commercial mediation cases presided over in China nearly tripled.
Trade arbitration cases have increased 3.7 times. Those cases involved 152 countries and regions. Last year, China's Trade Arbitration Commission was ranked as the world's fifth most popular trade arbitration institution, guiding businesses to participate in the global market.
Ren also said the report by Xi Jinping will shape the CCPIT's future work.
"As the largest trade and investment promotion organization in China, the CCPIT is ready to work with the global business community," he said. "We're ready to make economic globalization more open, inclusive, balanced and beneficial to all."
"We'll jointly maintain the security, stability and smooth flow of global industries and supply chains," he added.
