The modernization of 1.4 billion people is the birth of a miracle, and this cannot be separated from the grand plan and far-reaching layout of the Communist Party of China relying on socialism with Chinese characteristics, said Adham Sayed, a member of the Central Committee of the Lebanese Communist Party. The greatness of the Communist Party of China (CPC) lies in the fact that it has united the power of people and has created miracles with this power, he added.

Today's China is a brand-new China shaped by socialism with Chinese characteristics. The core value of socialism with Chinese characteristics is "putting people first." Upholding the value, the Chinese government led Chinese people to unite as one to fight the COVID-19 epidemic and protect the lives of 1.4 billion people, Manolo de los Santos, co-executive director of The People's Forum, stressed.

At the forum, youth representatives from various countries also spoke highly of the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and China's contribution to world economic development and global governance.

Joe Antinoro, editor of Britain's NextHypothesis Journal, said China's goals to peak carbon emissions [before 2030] and achieve carbon neutrality [by 2060] will make a contribution to all mankind.

Mikaela Nhondo Erskog, a researcher for the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research from Zimbabwe, said that from 2009 to 2018, 222 senior Chinese officials visited Africa. High-level exchanges between China and African countries have not only brought the pilot programs for food security in Africa but also prompted African people to raise their awareness of national sovereignty and firmly grasp the right to independent development in the post-colonial era, he said.

Shamim Zakaria, a news commentator from India, said that hegemonism poses a serious threat to today's world order, but China is committed to safeguarding world peace, stability and security.

The forum will be broadcast on CGTN's digital platforms at 7 p.m. (Beijing Time) on Tuesday.
