Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission, on Monday urged the military to study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and strive hard to achieve the centenary objectives of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

Xi, also Chinese president and general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks on Monday afternoon at a meeting with senior military officers.
