"China will of course continue its modernization drive, but focusing now on high-quality development, rather than on quantity or simply GDP indicators, GDP numbers," says Iain Inglis, a member of the Communist Party of Britain. Having lived in China for 18 years, he shared his observations of  China's modernization, diplomacy and opening-up policy, saying "If China had not embarked along its current path of reform and opening-up, forever deepening and changing, then I don't think it would have the wherewithal to do what it does."
