Aerial shots show once-barren mountains that have become dotted with trees in Shilou County in northern China's Shanxi Province. The county sits on the east bank of the Yellow River and is part of the Loess Plateau. In recent years, workers have cut terraces to grow trees on the mountains, turning them into scenes of green. So far, more than 5.2 million square meters in the county have been afforested.
