On July 20, 1958, the "Dongfanghong" 54-type caterpillar tractor was produced in Luoyang, central China's Henan Province. In recent years, China has been striving to develop the mechanization of agriculture. With a distinct rise in mechanization rate, the gross output of grain achieved a record level of 682.85 million tonnes in 2021.
