Five people were injured when a magnitude-6.7 earthquake jolted the northern Philippines on Tuesday night, a spokesperson for the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said on Wednesday, adding that "the casualties still need to be validated."

Flight operations at Laoag International Airport are suspended until Thursday, according to a spokesperson.
