China's Wang Manyu beat Japanese Mima Ito 3-0 to reach the World Table Tennis (WTT) Cup Finals women's singles final four in Xinxiang, central China's Henan Province, on Friday.
Wang, ranked 3rd in the world, maintained a 3-0 winning record against Ito, who is ranked 5th so far this year before Friday's meeting, from which Wang extended her leading edge with a 11-4, 11-4, 11-4 victory.
Wang suffered an early exit in the WTT Champions Macao that concluded last week, before which Wang and teammates Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha, Wang Yidi, and Chen Xingtong won the women's team title at the World Chamionships earlier this month.
"I'm getting my form back from the trip to Macao to yesterday's round of 16. I hope I can enjoy more as the competition goes on," Wang said after the match.
Also on Friday, men's world No. 1 Fan Zhendong from China lost to Dimitrij Ovtcharov of Germany 3-2 in the round of 8.
