China launched a new satellite into space from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China on October 29. The satellite, the Shiyan-20C, was launched by a Long March-2D carrier rocket at 9:01 a.m. and entered the set orbit successfully. It will help test and verify new technologies in orbit such as space environment monitoring. The launch was the 445th mission by the Long March rocket series.
