A deadly stampede occurred Saturday night in Itaewon, a district of the South Korean capital Seoul during Halloween celebrations, leaving over 150 people dead.
It is the deadliest stampede in South Korea's history.
South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol visited the site of the accident on Sunday and declared a period of national mourning for the tragedy.

According to Yonhap News Agency, one additional woman died on Sunday, bringing the total number of deaths from the Stampede to 154.
Local police have so far identified 153 of the 154 deceased and informed their families, the report added.
Among the deaths were 98 females and 56 males.
The latest Yonhap report also said that 26 foreigners from 14 countries were among the dead without breaking down numbers.
But according to emerging media reports from different countries, Iran reported deaths of five nationals, China and Russia each reported four, two from Japan and the U.S., as well as one each from France, Australia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Norway, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Austria.

The death toll from Saturday's stampede in Seoul's Itaewon has risen to 153, South Korea's fire department said on Sunday afternoon, adding that included 20 foreigners.
Meanwhile, over 100 people were injured.

Three Chinese nationals have been confirmed killed in a stampede that occurred Saturday night in Itaewon district in Seoul, the Chinese embassy in South Korea said Sunday.
The Chinese embassy said shortly after the stampede that it immediately activated an emergency response mechanism, contacted the South Korean side overnight to learn about the cause of the accident and the nationalities of the victims, and paid close attention to the Internet and social media platforms to see if any Chinese nationals were seeking help.
The Chinese embassy has offered condolences and will provide assistance to the families of the deceased.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on Sunday announced a period of national mourning following the deadly stampede in Seoul's Itaewon district.
Yoon expressed condolences to the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
"This is truly tragic," he said in a statement. "A tragedy and disaster that should not have happened took place in the heart of Seoul last night."
The president vowed that prompt medical support would be provided and the cause of the incident would be thoroughly investigated.

At least 149 people were killed and 76 others were injured in a deadly crush in Seoul's Itaewon district, South Korea, as huge crowds of partygoers stampeded at late-night Halloween celebrations, fire authorities said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday night in a narrow downhill alley near Hamilton Hotel in the famous nightlife district, after a throng of partygoers flooded into it, according to witnesses.
