China and Montenegro are far from each other geographically but in the last seven years, they have come closer, according to Milena Lipovina-Božović, director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro. She attributes it to the institute, which opened in 2015, has made learning a “challenging” language fun, and showcases the common values the two countries share. This episode of The Hub with Wang Guan is set in the picturesque Montenegrin capital Podgorica, where young Chinese language learners share their China dreams and teachers talk of their mission to build a bridge of communication. The surprise twist is when Wang Guan runs into the best Chinese speaker of the country, and she turns out to be an alumna from his university in Beijing. Everything, truly, is interconnected!
