Fernando Lugris, Uruguay's ambassador to China, said in an interview with China Media Group that China's commitment to opening up and green development in the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will bring great impetus to global sustainable development. He also spoke highly of China's development achievements in the past 10 years. China is Uruguay's largest trading partner, and nearly 60 percent of Uruguay's meat exports go to China. Uruguay was also the first Mercosur country to sign a memorandum of understanding on Belt and Road cooperation with China.
