The European Commission has released a package of proposed measures to tackle the energy crisis within the bloc, including a "dynamic" price cap and joint gas procurement. However, the move to cap prices of all imported gas, which was strongly advocated by some EU member states, was blocked due to opposition from countries like Germany and the Netherlands.
