The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, Nguyen Phu Trong, has begun a four-day visit to China. His visit is at the invitation of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Chinese president. Song Qingrun, associate professor at the School of Asian Studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University, points out that the two countries' high-level exchanges will deepen regional cooperation.
